1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 c. Warm milk
1 stick unsalted butter, melted, cooled to lukewarm
1 tsp. table salt (1/2 tsp. kosher)
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. (250 grams) flour or GF flour can be substituted
2 large eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
The night before, in a large bowl, mix all but eggs and soda. Stir til smooth. Cover the bowl, let it sit on the counter overnight.
In the morning, add eggs and soda. Cook in preheated waffle maker. Can also be made as pancakes.
These are very buttery with a crisp outer crust. Must be eaten immediately, especially if using GF flour, to take advantage of texture.
