cup cocoa
1 Tablespoon cocoa
cup water boiling
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cups sugar
1 cup flour
teaspoon salt
2 cups egg whites about 16 eggs
2 teaspoons cream of tartar

Cooking Instructions

1) Combine cocoa with boiling water and stir with whisk until smooth; add vanilla.

2) In another bowl combine C sugar, 1 C flour, and salt in bowl, set aside.

3) Beat egg whites until frothy, add cream of tartar until soft peaks form then begin gradually adding 1 C sugar, while beating at high speed until very stiff peaks.

4) Add egg white to cocoa, water mixture. FOLD flour-sugar-salt mixture into egg white mixture, then fold cocoa into egg whites, and flour mixture.

5) Put in tube pan. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes.
