Popcorn Balls, Honey & Marshmallow: Submitted by: Andrea Serafini | Date Added: 23 Sep 2014 Ingredients:

2 Tbsp canola oil
cup unpopped popcorn kernels
stick of butter
4 Tbsp of Bob's honey
tsp salt
1 bag of marshmallows
1 small bag of slivered almonds
Butter for your hands

Cooking Instructions:

1) Place the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat with a couple of kernels and cover with a lid. Once the two kernels have popped, add the rest of the popcorn and shake the cover pot. You want to cover each kernel with oil. Once coated, shake occasionally until the kernels begin to pop, shake the pot a bit more now so that the popcorn doesn't burn. Once the popping slows down to 3 seconds or so between each pop remove from heat and give it a couple vigorous shakes, this should help pop the last few of them. Pluck out the old maids and set aside.

2) Melt the butter, honey, and salt together on the stove on medium heat until the mixture is smooth. Add the popcorn you made previously and stir until completely coated. Allow the mixture to cool a little so you don't burn your fingers while shaping the balls. Then, very lightly coat your hands with butter and begin to form the balls, before you pack them too tightly, roll them in the almonds so that the slivers have a chance to stick before the marshmallow mixture completely cools. Repeat with the remaining balls.
